Kawsay is an album related to life that is inspired by ancestral cultures and the relationship with animals and nature. It is a deep journey to those sounds already lost in this universe.

Instruments of Manuel Knwell and sounds used: Cascahuillas, Xylofono de bamboo, water sticks, different bells from Tibetan, Chilean, Peruvian, India to Ottomans, seeds, maraca, ceremonial flute, pifilca, tarka, ocarina, yembe, battery nibs, different types of Aymara flutes, percutions, Mapuche bell, kultrún, sounds of birds recorded in the jungle in Ecuador and Chillán, Chile, zampoñas, violin bow, quartz bowl, Tibetan bowls, sounds of whales, seed shaker, sounds of hyenas. splash cymbal Zildjian serie K, Kurzweil keyboard KME61. virtual ANS and Yamaha CS10 synthesizer.

The composition of this album was made between the first week of October until the end of that month, the tracks that were recorded with Angel Salazar: Hamachi and Shuar, the tracks: Thunupa was recorded with Sergio Peralta and Ama-Rhinoceros.

Angel Salazar recorded a bamboo Xylofono and water sticks on the Hamachi track, Cascahuillas on the Thunupa track, kultrún and water clubs & ocarina on the Shuar track.

The base of Thunupa was made in 2017 with Sergio Peralta.

Recording, mixing, editing and mastering by Manuel Knwell at Studios 148, Chillán, Chile.
